  • Kirtleton Avenue is a registered care home for 14 adults, the home has been designed to provide a spacious and accessible environment suitable for all service users - particularly those who use a wheelchair or have additional sensory and mobility needs.
    The ground floor provides an extensive lounge and dining room area with an additional smaller lounge. There is also an assisted bathroom equipped with relaxation and sensory systems. We also have a separate activity room offering service users the opportunity for creative and /or relaxation opportunities.
    Service users are encouraged to exercise their personal choice where ever possible in any decision that may affect them.
    Our aim is to ensure each service user leads a full and satisfying life with due regard to individuality, dignity and respect.

    We welcome visitors, however we ask that where possible they phone and let us know they are coming and that they tell staff when they arrive and leave and also sign our visitors book. We ask that visitors do not visit or phone at meal times. We believe that meal times should be relaxed, calm and in an undisturbed environment, where service users are fully supported by our staff.

    Part of the philosophy of care at Foresters is to promote choice and independence enabling each individual to achieve their full potential. Families and friends of service users are most welcome in the home and with the service users, are encouraged to participate in and support care.

  • ELSADENE is situated in its own grounds within 15 minutes walking distance of Weymouth town centre and with easy access to local services. We are also served by good local facilities including a post office/general store, garage and local pubs.
    Service users can enjoy beautiful views over Portland Harbour and Sandsfoot beach and gardens are close by.
    Elsadene is registered as an Independent Mental Health Hospital with the Care Quality Commission, who regularly inspect the home They give guidance and support to DRH and the home staff, to ensure that legislation is being adhered to. They also check that the house is being maintained to a high standard and that your care is maintained and developed.
