  • ELSADENE is situated in its own grounds within 15 minutes walking distance of Weymouth town centre and with easy access to local services. We are also served by good local facilities including a post office/general store, garage and local pubs.
    Service users can enjoy beautiful views over Portland Harbour and Sandsfoot beach and gardens are close by.
    Elsadene is registered as an Independent Mental Health Hospital with the Care Quality Commission, who regularly inspect the home They give guidance and support to DRH and the home staff, to ensure that legislation is being adhered to. They also check that the house is being maintained to a high standard and that your care is maintained and developed.

  • FAIRFIELD HOUSE is a 16 bedded mental health hospital, registered with the Care Quality Commission. It provides skilled 24 hour nursing care to people aged 65 years and over who suffer with severe and enduring mental health problems, challenging behaviours and additional complex needs. Fairfield House also provides effective care to residents detained under the Mental Health Act, in a homely, comfortable and clean environment.
    The team are fully committed to promoting the emotional and physical well being of the residents, and in ensuring that individuality, dignity and the person’s rights are central to the care provided. The approach to care adopted by the home is the Human Givens / Human Needs Approach, which places meeting the service users’ individual and varied needs at the centre of all care activity.
    Fairfield House aims to provide a welcoming and friendly environment that is also supportive of residents’ relatives and carers. We aim to support the roles, skills and abilities of our residents and create structured opportunities to enjoy the many social and recreational facilities of a beautiful part of the country.
    Our relationships with other agencies, both independent sector, Local Authority and NHS are valuable to us as a means of utilizing and coordinating service opportunities as part of the Care Programme Approach.
